Treasure Hunting

Treasure hunting isn't about making money. It's about the "thrill of the hunt", and the pleasure of using your wits and "secret" knowledge. And it can be addicting.

Did you know that it is common for criminals and drug dealers to bury large amounts of cash under rocks in the woods at highway rest areas? Will you remember this the next time you see a recently moved rock or log at a rest area? Here are some of the places treasure hunters regularly find hidden money and valuables.

Places To Find Treasure

In rivers, next to bridges. Criminals and kids throw things off bridges.

Inside old books. This has been a common place to hide money for years.

Inside walls, usually by outlet covers.

Under sinks.

Hotel rooms. Cheating spouses hide their rings, then forget them.

Old cars. In the thirties it was common to stash coins in the gas tank.

Inside heating ducts.

Under rocks (buried) in yards.

In cielings.

Buried under the edge of cement slabs.

In old pump houses.

Caches buried near signs.

Do you have anything hidden? If you were to die unexpectedly, which is the usual way, how long would it be before your hidden treasures were found? Currently there are billions of dollars in currency and coin that is unaccounted for. Much of it is certainly hidden by people long gone. Some of it will be found.
